Abstract: Ceramic art, as an art form with a long history, has high artistic value. At present, many colleges and universities have set up ceramic courses, which plays an important role in promoting the improvement of college students' artistic literacy. Based on the actual situation of ceramic teaching, this paper discusses the value of setting up ceramic elective courses in colleges and universities, analyzes the current teaching problems, puts forward the feasible scheme of ceramic curriculum reform in colleges and universities, and shows the educational potential of ceramic curriculum under the educational background of the new era for readers' reference.
