Abstract: This article analyzes the problems in the teaching of water supply engineering courses for environ-mental engineering majors, such as insufficient class hours, lack of course design links, and outdated teaching materials. These problems make it difficult for students to deeply understand master the course content and do not meet the current needs of cultivating new engineering students. Therefore, it is proposed to carry out teaching reform through measures such as updating course content, introducing cutting-edge information in subject research, and strengthening practical teaching links. At the same time, diversified teaching methods and establishing a teaching mode of teacher-student interaction are adopted to design scientific and effective evaluation methods. Through teaching reform, we aim to improve the teaching quality of water supply engineering courses and lay the foundation for cultivating applied technical talents in the field of environmental engineering.
