Exploration on Teaching Reform of Fundamentals of Geodesy Course for Application-Oriented University

Abstract

Abstract: Fundamentals of Geodesy is a specialized basic course of surveying and mapping engineering. This course has many nouns with great similarity, many formulas with complex derivation, and many practices with strong technicality. And, in practical teaching, the balance between data acquisition technology practice and programming technology practice is restricted by the number of class hours. Around the orientation of cultivating "thick foundation and stressing practice" applied talents of Application-oriented University, aiming at the fact that students’ poor mathematical ability and weak programming foundation, optimized the theoretical teaching content and practical teaching content of the course to make it more suitable for application-oriented undergraduate students. And also, explored the ideological and political integration points of the course with the nature of the course, explored effective online and offline teaching methods which more suitable for contemporary students.
