Abstract: The establishment of vocational colleges' majors is in line with the needs of social and economic development and enterprise talent needs, linking school talent cultivation, classroom teaching, and the improvement of students' comprehensive qualities and abilities. It is the connecting point between industry and education and the key to promoting the high-quality development of vocational education. By comparing and analyzing the distribution of vocational majors in Tianjin with various industries and advantageous industries in Tianjin, this study aims to explore the coupling between the establishment of vocational majors and industries in Tianjin. Research has shown that from the perspective of professional settings, the overall adaptability of vocational colleges in Tianjin to the development of regional industries is relatively high. However, for some advantageous industries, there are fewer professional locations in emerging industries, and there may be a certain shortage of talent supply compared to the employment demand of the industry. Propose to dynamically adjust professional settings by following the development laws of vocational education, benchmarking regional economic and social development needs and industrial planning, closely monitoring market demand, and guided by employment quality.
