Abstract: Management practice of institution offering services for the elderly is a core course of elderly care service and management major, it is an application-oriented course that cultivates students' operation and management ability of institution offering services for the elderly with equal emphasis on theory and practice. The course design of management practice of institution offering services for the elderly should actively respond to the needs of the times and industry development requirements, carry out the new concept of national vocational education reform, base on the job analysis, take typical work tasks as the carrier, refine the core competence of the position, integrate position, course, competition, vocational qualification, establish core knowledge and skill modules, design the course system and content according to the post ability and the actual needs of the work.
