Abstract: Innovation is the driving force for the in-depth development of course teaching, and teaching reform is an important means to train students to adapt to the future development of the industry. This paper takes the demand of new engineering professionals for water conservancy and hydropower engineering as the target, takes the teaching reform of soil mechanics as the entry point, and combines the supporting requirements for the soil mechanics course of water conservancy and hydropower engineering talent training program. Systematic exploration of teaching reform has been carried out from the aspects of curriculum content construction, teaching methods, BIM information integration, curriculum ideological and political integration, innovation and entrepreneurship integration, and the practice shows that the effect is good.
