Teaching Reform and Practice of Microbiology Course for Cultivating Innovative Talents of Universities

Abstract: Microbiology, as a course that integrates theory and application, and is based on experiments, it is necessary to carry out curriculum teaching reform and practice based on microbiology to serve the cultivation of innovative talents. Our team combined with the realities of universities, carry out reforms and explorations of microbiology courses in the organization of teaching content, teaching methods and means, assessment methods, and scientific research to promote teaching. After five years of reform, exploration and practice, the microbiology course teaching has improved students' course learning interest, professional identity and innovation ability as a whole. The enthusiasm of students to participate in teachers' scientific research, the application and approval of scientific research projects, the publication of articles, and the awards have been significantly improved in quantity and quality. At present, this course has been selected as a provincial first-class course.
