Abstract: Nowadays, the postgraduate entrance examination has become a trend, the postgraduate entrance examination of English has become a reference index for college students whether to go ashore. It is a test of students' comprehensive English ability, mainly focusing on the topics of education and culture, industry development, economic phenomenon, and career. College students have some problems, such as strong utilitarian motivation, lack of English thinking and practice, poor English habit and application ability. In order to meet the requirements of society and talent market after entering the society, students should stimulate their inner learning motivation, set up goals with thinking ability as the core, cultivate good English habits and follow the rules of English learning.
