The Empirical Study of Integrating Career Group Counseling into College Career Planning Course

Abstract: Colleges and universities have gradually carried out the public course "career development and employment guidance for college students" for more than ten years. In the specific implementation process, there are some problems, such as mainly theoretical explanation, low student s' participation and interaction, and less student s' harvest. Career group counseling activities of interactive, inquiry, participation help to supplement the shortage of college students career planning course, this study attempts to integrate career group counseling into college career planning courses, using questionnaire, experiment, measurement, case interview method and so on, carry out comparison and interview before and after 20 college students assistance. The results show that after group guidance, students are better than before in career interest, ability evaluation, career decision-making and goal stability. Through case interviews, it is found that the interest of group guidance dispels the boring behavior in the classroom, the playfulness of group guidance stimulates students' potential, and the interaction of group guidance helps students clarify their goals. In short, the integration of career group guidance into career planning courses improves students' sense of participation and acquisition in the classroom.
