Abstract: Taking the cultivating of outstanding talents as the goal, with the standard of outstanding talents as the criterion, combining with the school orientation and the characteristics of electrical engineering and its automation major, the innovative mode of cultivating outstanding talents in local applied undergraduate colleges has been constructed. The significance and the current situation of the college students' entrepreneurship and innovation ability cultivating for outstanding talents have been analyzed. The effective measures to improve the innovation and entrepreneurship ability of college students for cultivating outstanding talents have been studied, put forward and practiced. In this way, students' ability of entrepreneurship and innovation has been greatly improved, the quantity and quality of outstanding talents cultivated in local applied undergraduate colleges are improved.
