An Analysis of the Dilemma of English Linguistics Teaching in Colleges and Universities under the Background of Ecological Linguistics

Abstract: Ecolinguistics is a comprehensive discipline of arts and sciences. It is also a research hotspot and new direction under the background of the new era. English is a language course. If the teaching can be optimized based on the background of ecolinguistics, it can effectively deal with the dilemma of English linguistics teaching in colleges and universities, so that students can master English knowledge in class and improve their English subject ability. However, looking at the current situation of English linguistics teaching in colleges and universities, it is found that there are obvious teaching difficulties, which are manifested in excessive emphasis on theoretical teaching, ignoring students' individual differences, ignoring students' interests, lack of teachers and so on. In order to effectively solve the above problems, this paper also analyzes the difficulties of English linguistics teaching in colleges and universities under the background of ecological linguistics.
