Abstract: The "Internet +" competition is an important event to stimulate college students' innovation, creation and entrepreneurship. As a university of science and engineering - L University, due to the lack of teachers and students' understanding of the competition, the low coupling between the participating projects and the disciplines, and the lack of necessary cultivation, polishing and transformation of the participating projects, the proportion of participants in previous competitions is not high, the number of highly educated people is small, the award rate of participating projects is low, the distribution of groups and categories is uneven, and there are few transformation projects of scientific research achievements. Based on their own advantages, colleges and universities of science and engineering should create a cultural atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship, and improve college students' awareness of the competition; Excavate the characteristics of science and engineering of the project and improve the core competitiveness of the participating projects; Internal and external forces to strengthen the cultivation, improvement and transformation of the project.
