Research on Multi-Modal Teaching Practice of Translation Course for English Majors in the Context of New Liberal Arts

Abstract: The implementation of New Liberal Arts is one of the important national education strategies, which fully embodies the urgency of education reform. Under such background, the teaching activities of all subjects should keep pace with the time and conform to the requirements. This paper analyzed the problems faced by translation courses for English majors under the background of “New Liberal Arts” from the aspects of teaching Objectives, curriculum resources and evaluation systems. With the multi-modal teaching mode, it therefore explored teaching reform practice from the perspectives of educational Objective, teaching staff, curriculum resource, teaching method and teaching evaluation so as to improve the teaching quality of translation course and provide reference for similar teaching reforms.
