Research and Practice of Reverse Modeling Experiment Teaching Based on 3D Scanning

Abstract: Reverse engineering technology is an important way to obtain the existing product parameters and carry out rapid innovative design on this basis. In order to promote the innovation of undergraduate experiment teaching, aiming at the problem of insufficient practice and innovation ability of current graduates, the reverse modeling experiment course based on 3D scanning is established. The first step of the experiment is to scan the surface of the physical model to obtain point cloud data by EinScan-Pro 3D scanner, and then reconstructing the CAD model by Geomagic Design X. Finally, importing the model into Creo to redesign it. After the experiment, a diversified evaluation system is established to replace the original single and final evaluation system. The experiment not only helps students to get familiar with advanced parts modeling technology, but also plays an important role in improving students' innovation consciousness and engineering practice ability.
