Abstract: With the continuous development and deepening of the reform of the educational system in colleges and universities, the requirements for college students' innovation and scientific research ability are constantly improving. The improvement of innovation and scientific research ability helps to enhance the competitiveness of employment or continuing to study for a master's degree. This paper analyzes the importance of scientific research to college students and the current situation of contemporary college students' scientific research ability, in order to explore the long-term mechanism to improve college students' scientific research ability.
