“PBL” Teaching Method and Its Application in Law Teaching

Abstract: At present, some colleges are actively promoting the reform of legal education, and its core goal is to strengthen legal professional education, cultivate legal professionals. The realization of the goal must rely on the reform of legal teaching methods. Legal vocational education focuses on the training of vocational skills, so we must strengthen practical teaching. The “PBL” (Problem-Based Learning) teaching method, which has been widely used in western legal teaching, it has been proved to be one of the effective ways to cultivate legal professional skills. By tracing its characteristics and ideas, analyzing its differences from traditional teaching methods, and discussing its specific methods and objectives used in law teaching, as well as its relationship with other practical teaching methods, it will help it to serve the reform of law education in China more effectively.
