Abstract: In the “double innovation” era, innovation education has become the main trend of the reform and development of education and teaching in my country's colleges and universities, and cultivating students' innovative ability has also become an important task for applied undergraduate colleges and universities. On the basis of clarifying the connotation of students' innovative education in applied undergraduate colleges, this article analyzes the problems in the process of cultivating college students' innovative ability, and combines the actual situation of applied undergraduate colleges to explore the ways to solve these problems.
