Abstract: The development of the times puts forward new requirements for students' quality education. The purpose of higher vocational education is to cultivate high-quality talents with both moral integrity and ability and unity of knowledge and practice, so that students can master professional technology and have good quality in the process of learning in the school. Chinese excellent traditional culture is the treasure of Chinese civilization and a good focus of quality education for students. Therefore, integrating excellent traditional culture into ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges is the teaching direction that ideological and political teachers should focus on under the current situation. In teaching, teachers can carry out ideological and political education combined with excellent traditional culture to help students learn knowledge from books and deepen their understanding of excellent traditional culture. This paper discusses the integration of excellent traditional culture and ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges.
