Abstract: Most teachers in higher vocational colleges have the ability to use information technology. Before class, they can use rich network resources to prepare lessons. In class, they can make full use of information teaching and create relevant learning situations. After class, they can use information technology to help students extend their learning. However, the information literacy ability of teachers in higher vocational colleges is uneven, some teachers are weak in information awareness, lack of information application ability, and ignore the role of information literacy in their professional development. In this regard, teachers should be encouraged to participate in all kinds of skills competitions at all levels; their positive information awareness and attitude should be consolidated and enhanced to update their education and teaching ideas; the richness of training content should be enhanced; the effectiveness of information literacy training should be enhanced; and the role of information literacy in teachers' professional development should be emphasized.
