Abstract: Compared with ordinary universities, the task of socialist core values education in agricultural and forestry universities is special and more arduous. Due to the constraints of the characteristics of students, cultivation concept and employment prospects, the education mechanism of socialist core values in agricultural and forestry universities is still not perfect, and there are many problems and contradictions in the process of cultivation. Therefore, we should aim at cultivating new talents who know agriculture and love agriculture with " three rural feelings", deepen theoretical study and construct educational internalization mechanism by exploring the core value elements contained in agronomy majors and exploring the conjunction of agricultural cultural and core values. Using the natural, ecological and green practice advantages of agriculture and forestry specialty, strengthening education practice and constructing practice externalization mechanism. Combined with the national strategic needs of the new era, we should improve the incentive and assessment system, and build the institutional guarantee mechanism.
