Abstract: As President Xi Jinping put forward “the Belt and Road” initiative, the number of international students from the countries and regions along” the Belt and Road has increased year by year. Guiding international students to participate in voluntary service activities can not only promote the comprehensive development, but also establish a new mechanism of talent training for cross-border mobility, which lay a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality talents with international perspectives. Based on the analysis of the necessity of international students participating in voluntary service activities, this article points out the problems faced by international students and makes suggestions on how to further effectively carry out volunteer service activities in the future.
