Research on the Teaching Model of Ideological and Political Education in College English Writing based on POA Theory

Abstract: Fostering “ideological and political education” in college English curriculum is the necessary requirement of the development of higher education. Based on POA teaching theory,this paper discusses the teaching process of integrating ideological and political elements into the course in college English writing teaching, which integrated elements of “ideological and political education” at three stages: motivation of writing tasks, selection of input, writing output and assessment. It puts forward a teaching model of “ideological and political education” in college English writing with the aim of better realizing all-round education of English courses.
