Abstract: Under the background of practical difficulties faced by the practice courses for the engineering majors and the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, virtual simulation teaching shows its unique advantages. Based on the practice of virtual simulation teaching for graduation practice of pharmaceutical engineering major during the epidemic period, this paper expounded the implementation process and practical experiences of virtual simulation teaching. The practice results showed that virtual simulation could effectively solve the problem of enterprise practice under the background of epidemic prevention and control, and had the advantages that traditional "on-the-spot" practice did not have. Students have high enthusiasm for virtual simulation teaching mode, strong initiative, and resulted in good teaching effects. The combination of virtual simulation and traditional "on-the-spot" practice can give full play to their respective advantages, learn from each other and word together, which can significantly improve the teaching quality of practical courses such as practice and training, and provide strong support for the cultivation of engineering and technical talents. This paper provides a useful reference for virtual simulation teaching of practical courses such as engineering practice and training for the engineering majors in colleges and universities.
