The Strategic Choice of Colleges and Universities in the Stage of Popularization of Higher Education——Reading Burton Clark's "Building An Entrepreneurial University: Ways of Organizational Transformation"

Abstract: Ordinary undergraduate colleges are in an awkward position of "dilemma" in the popularization of higher education. Burton Clark put forward the concept of Entrepreneurial University in the establishment of Entrepreneurial University: ways of organizational transformation, and summarized the five core elements of traditional university transformation. According to Professor Clark's idea of Entrepreneurial University, ordinary colleges and universities can focus on deepening the concept of running a school, reforming the system system, improving scientific research ability and broadening funding channels to transform from passive dependence to active adaptation, so as to realize the transformation from traditional university to entrepreneurial university.
