Research on General Education Mode and Implementation Strategy in Private Colleges and Universities

Abstract: General education is a concept relative to professional education. It aims to promote students' knowledge and ability in humanities, social science, culture, art and natural science. It is the comprehensive quality and knowledge store that students should have for professional education, and belongs to the category of basic quality and ability cultivation. The exploration of general education in Chinese colleges and universities has never stopped, but the research and practice of general education in private colleges and universities are relatively little. This paper takes the general education of Mianyang City University as the research object and analyzes its beneficial experience in the reform of general education, which has important reference value for the implementation of general education in private colleges and universities.
