By explaining the definition and connection between first-class academic competitions and quality education, people can better understand the development and relationship between the two; analyse the ways in which first-class academic competitions promote the practical theory of quality education in Europe and the United States, and take the essence of them and remove the dross, so as to form a model more in line with the development of China. The model of first-class subject competitions is of great help to students' value orientation, innovative spirit and professionalism, and the form of international competitions can also understand the dynamic learning level of foreign students, so the approach of first-class subject competitions to promote the development of quality education is feasible.
