Abstract: The change of the current employment environment has a great impact on the graduates of ordinary colleges and universities, especially the graduates of agricultural higher vocational colleges, whose employment space and development potential are restricted gradually with the economic development. Although the employment of animal husbandry and veterinary profession presents a good development trend in the current environment, the total number of jobs still does not match the actual demand. In this paper, through the continuous tracking of the employment and further education of all students in a certain animal husbandry and veterinary graduating class of Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Science and Technology in 2019, the author analyzes the current direction selection of higher vocational college graduates, and puts forward some suggestions to improve the employment quality of college graduates in terms of the problems existing in their further education and employment, which is only for reference.
