Abstract: Industrial microbiology is a basic compulsory course for the series of majors in bio-chemical industry. Ideological and political education runs through the course in the teaching reform of industrial microbiology, which is of great significance for realizing the educational goal of "five abilities and three abilities" in our school. Combined with the teaching practice of industrial microbiology, this paper introduces the ways to improve the ideological and political ability of full-time teachers, explores the path and method of ideological and political ability, explores the ideological and political elements of this course, and introduces some ideological and political cases of this course, in order to provide reference for the ideological and political education of other related courses.
