On College English Teaching Exploration and Practice from the Perspective of Curriculum-Based Political and Virtuous Awareness

Abstract: Curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness is a new educational and teaching concept, which is an inevitable choice for higher education to construct a “three comprehensive education” mechanism. As one of the most popular general courses in Chinses universities, college English is a critical position of curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness. Taken applied college English in Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai as an example, this paper, based on case study, discusses the concept of curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness and expounds how to construct curriculum-based political and virtuous awareness in applied college English in terms of content, method, evaluation and teacher development, aiming to the cultivation of students' value-shaping and knowledge and ability training, so as to provide a feasible way.
