Abstract: In view of the weak core competence of the knowledge transformation of university education curriculum, this paper discusses the competency of human resources in tourism management specialty and puts forward suggestions for the reform of tourism management curriculum. The results show that teamwork, sense of responsibility, communication skills, interpersonal skills and positive thinking ability are the main competencies of future tourism practitioners. On this basis, this paper puts forward some practical suggestions on the reform of tourism curriculum, and discusses the future research direction. The research results will provide ideas for the development of tourism professional core competence education courses for tourism management majors, and provide useful enlightenment for the cultivation of competitive tourism human resources.
