Abstract: “The Belt and Road” initiative brings new opportunities and challenges for the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents in universities. The market for talent demand has been broadened and the platform of educational resources is rich. However, under the one hand “the Belt and Road” initiative demand of Chinese university's innovation and entrepreneurship talents, there are three weak abilities of market development, cross cultural communication and scientific research innovation. In this case, local colleges and universities can promote the improvement of the ability level of innovative and entrepreneurial talents by establishing the concept of cultivating complex innovative and entrepreneurial talents, improving the level of teachers of innovation and entrepreneurship education, building a comprehensive integration of innovative and entrepreneurial talents training mode, and building a multi-level innovation and entrepreneurship education cooperation platform.
