Discussion on the Benefit of Expanding Subject Competition for Mathematics Majors in Local Colleges and Universities

Abstract: Developing subject competition has become an important way for local colleges and universities to cultivate applied innovative talents in mathematics, but how to further expand the benefit of subject competition is still a problem to be solved. This paper discusses how to enhance the effectiveness of subject competition through "five combinations and five interactions" for mathematics majors in local colleges, so as to further expand the benefit scope of subject competition and enhance the promotion effect of subject competition on the cultivation of applied innovative talents of mathematics in local colleges.
