Abstract: At present, with the development of information technology, great changes have taken place in people's life and work. Under the background of the information age, the book management has also been affected. The traditional way of book management has been unable to meet the reading needs of modern people. It is necessary to innovate the book management work from the aspects of management mode, concept and so on. This paper analyzes the development opportunities and challenges of book management in the information age. On the one hand, book management is faced with development opportunities such as rapid information dissemination, rich resources and real-time sharing, on the other hand, it is also faced with security problems, software and hardware construction and other challenges. In order to promote the development of book management work, we should seize the development opportunities and take effective improvement measures against the challenges.
