Abstract: With the continuous development and progress of modern social economy and science and technology, earth shaking changes have taken place in all fields of people's life, especially in the field of higher education. The rapid development of information technology accelerates the pace of higher education reform to a certain extent; on the other hand, in the new media environment, it also promotes the effective improvement of education and teaching quality. At present, higher vocational colleges actively carry out the exploration and research on the improvement of teaching quality, but on the whole, the effect is not significant. As an important basic and public discipline in higher vocational colleges, the teaching of Ideological and political education also needs to be innovated. Combined with the new media environment, this paper discusses the effective ways of Ideological and political education teaching innovation in higher vocational colleges.
