Abstract: To explore the current situation, relationship and mediating effect of college students' self-control, self-efficacy, pursuit of success motivation, so as to provide new basis for comprehensively improving college students' learning enthusiasm and skill confidence, and to provide reasonable suggestions for continuously promoting the cultivation plan of high-quality college students. 262 college students were investigated by using self-control strength scale, general self-efficacy scale and pursuit of success motivation scale. The self-control of college students is different in the place of origin and grade. There are differences in the sense of self-efficacy in gender, only child or not, student cadre experience; there is a significant positive correlation between self-control, self-efficacy and the motivation of pursuing success. Self-efficacy played a partial mediating role in the positive prediction of self-control on the motivation to pursue success.
