Abstract: Recreational and sports activities in schools can not only enrich students' extracurricular life, but also create a good campus cultural atmosphere and a good style of study, the ideological and political integration into sports activities will effectively carry out ideological and ideological education for students. The students in higher vocational colleges are a special group and their thoughts are not mature enough, therefore, it is necessary to study the recreational and sports activities in higher vocational colleges. This paper mainly expounds the development strategy of cultural and sports activities in higher vocational colleges. It explains from four levels: the training of instructors' ability, the improvement of the League cadres' ability, the improvement of the activities' quality, and the effective promotion of activities. By strengthening the coordination of functions at all levels and expanding the influence of recreational and sports activities, students' campus cultural life is rich and colorful, and their ideology is imperceptibly changed.
