Abstract: The practical teaching of Ideological and political theory course plays a very important role in higher vocational colleges. It is an important way and form to combine ideological and political small class with social large class. However, the effectiveness of practical teaching of Ideological and political theory course in higher vocational colleges still needs to be further improved. The main influencing factors are: imperfect teaching standards and teaching standards, insufficient teaching staff, disconnection between practical teaching and theoretical teaching, insufficient practical teaching time and incomplete coverage of students. Therefore, in order to improve the effectiveness of the practical teaching of Ideological and political theory course in the future, we should enhance the understanding, strengthen the leadership, strengthen the teaching design and standardized teaching, strengthen the training and integration of teachers, combine the full coverage with the cultivation of high-quality products, strengthen the construction of practical teaching base, and improve the effectiveness of practical teaching of Ideological and political theory course in a multi pronged way.
