Abstract: As the focus of education at all levels, English plays an important role in higher education. The second classroom focuses on improving students' practical English application ability in a relaxed and fun way. It improves students' listening and speaking ability and communication ability through interesting teaching methods, and cultivates output-oriented talents that are more suitable for social needs. But there are also some problems in the practical application of the second classroom. This article discusses the application of the second classroom in higher vocational English classroom teaching and the existing problems from two perspectives, and deeply studies the role of the second classroom in students' English learning.
