Challenges and Strategies on Language Teaching for the International Students from "The Belt and Road"

Abstract: As the number of the international students in China increases rapidly, who are from the countries along the Belt and Road, the academic circles have been constantly discussing the problems related to language teaching in China. How to improve the quality of language teaching for international students is a critical issue that should be dealt with in China. The diverse influence factors of learning language, bring challenges to the language teaching for international students in China, such as different official languages, diverse national cultures, the uneven levels of language competence and various educational backgrounds among the international students from the countries along the Belt and Road, as well as different ways of interaction between teachers and international students. Based on these factors, this paper attempts to discuss the feasible strategies, combining with?practical?teaching.
