Abstract: There is an important content in Ideological and political education in Colleges and universities, that is, ideological and political education of red culture. Among them, Yimeng Spirit’s is an important part of red revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture in China, which has important enlightenment for modern college students' red culture education. In today's ideological and cultural diversity, we should always adhere to the use of the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics to arm the mind and strengthen the ideological and political education of college students. Based on the social noumenon function of Yimeng Spirit’s and the practical application of Yimeng Spirit’s in the teaching of local colleges and universities in Yimeng, this paper expounds the value and influence of Yimeng Spirit’s on red culture education and ideological and political education of college students.
