Abstract: It is inevitable for the development of higher education to carry out general education in public security colleges. At present, there are some problems in the general education in public security colleges, such as the disunity of educational subject objectives, unsystematic teaching contents and unitary teaching methods. The general education in public security colleges is in conflict with vocational education, compulsory basic courses, and the proportion of teachers. Public security colleges and universities can carry out general education from the following aspects: optimize the curriculum structure and construct the perfect content of general education curriculum; Optimize the structure of teachers and rationally utilize various teaching resources; Optimize teaching methods and fully mobilize various teaching means; Optimize the evaluation system and design a reasonable quality evaluation system.
