Research on Practice Teaching Reform of Western Economics under the Goal of Training Applied Talents

Abstract: High quality application-oriented talents is an important goal of talent cultivation in Chinese universities, especially in application-oriented universities. As a comprehensive quality training course of western economics, such as innovative thinking and practical ability, has achieved remarkable results in its practical exploration, but there are still many deficiencies. Based on the analysis of the practical teaching objectives of western economics in China's application-oriented universities, this paper points out the problems existing in the current practical teaching of western economics, such as insufficient attention to practical teaching、inadequate teaching facilities、imperfect teaching system、lack of enthusiasm and initiative of students and weak qualified teachers. and then puts forward a series of improvement measures aiming at the problems. This paper can provide some reference for the reform of practical teaching mode of western economics in Applied Universities in China.
