Abstract: Architectural design in urban and rural planning major education in Applied Undergraduate Colleges, should aim at training applied talents, carry on the reform of education content and teaching method. This paper aims at the problems existing in the teaching of architectural design course of urban and rural planning major in Shangluo University, supplement the theoretical teaching content, Reconstruction of practice teaching, Focus on cultivating students' autonomous learning ability , Practice of curriculum teaching reform , In order to provide a certain guidance for the application-oriented colleges and universities personnel training.
