Abstract: The “Introduction to Database Systems” course is not only a required course for information-related undergraduates, but also a basic course for other non-information-related undergraduates.The course has a wide range of abstract knowledge,the knowledge points are related and includes a lot of practical training.Combining with the experience of teaching this course, according to the life cycle of database design and development, the thesis designed practical teaching content,which including requirements analysis, conceptual architecture design, logical architecture design, physical design, database implementation phase and database operation and maintenance. The paper discusses the practical teaching methods of the Introduction to Database Systems course from five aspects: the construction of the course case bank, the scheduling of class time, the construction of public platform, the online and offline hybrid teaching, and the stereoscopic interaction between the teacher and the students,with a view to improving the teaching effectiveness of the course.
