Research on the Requirements of Comprehensive Ability and Curriculum for Business English Majors——A Case Study of the Pearl River Delta Region

Abstract: In order to better meet the market needs for talents, and based on the needs theory, mainly in the form of questionnaire to understand the needs of employers in the Pearl River Delta region for Business English graduates. According to the data, the enterprises in the Pearl River Delta believe that it is the most important for Business English graduates to master the listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation as well as practical ability. In view of this requirement, and based on the results of the questionnaire, it was suggested that schools should adjust the curriculum setting according to the current market demand, improve the students' comprehensive ability, and cultivate inter-disciplinary talent with professional knowledge and practical skills.
