Abstract: Under the background of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, colleges and universities need to cultivate high-level applied talents with solid theoretical foundation, strong practical ability and innovative spirit. The cultivation mode based on innovation and entrepreneurship is the key to the realization of the above training objectives. In order to improve the practical ability of local college students, taking Nanyang Normal University as an example, this paper discusses the reform of practical ability training mode of local university students based on innovation and Entrepreneurship from the aspects of promoting teachers' ability improvement project, perfecting the curriculum system of innovation and entrepreneurship education, increasing the professional practice activities of innovation and entrepreneurship, and constructing the vocational ability training system, which could provide the practical experience and provided experience for the transformation of local universities.
