Mistakes Made in Teaching College English Grammar during the Universalization of Higher Education

Abstract: With the popularization of higher education in China, as an organic part of it, independent colleges have also made great progress, and the scale of students in various majors has been expanding. As a public basic course for all majors, the importance of College English is self-evident. If there is no grammar knowledge as the foundation, College English learning is like a castle built on the beach. In order to effectively carry out college English grammar teaching, we must have a more in-depth reflection and understanding of the misunderstanding in teaching. This paper analyzes some misunderstandings in College English grammar teaching from the cognitive and practical perspectives, in order to arouse more thinking.
