Development and Practice of A Course System of “Professional Scientific and Technological Innovation Guidance and Training ” towards Cultivating the Undergraduate Innovative Ability——A Case of Major of Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering

Abstract: To meet the training requirements of innovative professional talents, innovative courses are generally set in the undergraduate professional teaching program. To develop the innovation course system towards the innovative ability of undergraduate, in this paper, the processes of the development and practice of a teaching pattern for "Professional Scientific and Technological Innovation Guidance and Training" of the major of Hydrology and Resource Engineering, was adopted as a case study. The importance of the student subjectively participated the practical teaching process, which was emphasized. An investigation and evaluation for the course effects had been carried out. The results indicated that the teaching pattern of “Professional Scientific and Technological Innovation Guidance and Training” was widely accepted as the students subjectively participated; and the teaching pattern of this kind promoted the cultivation of innovation ability, scientific research interest and practice ability of the undergraduates. This paper is expected to provide the references for scientific development and implementation of the professional innovation courses system towards training the innovative ability of the undergraduate.
