Abstract: With the rapid development of information technology, the Internet has not only changed people's production and life, but also promoted the development of the times. Under the background of information technology, the hotel industry has also put forward new requirements for employees, which has brought great changes and challenges to the field of education. Through the understanding of the problems existing in the practical teaching mode of hotel management specialty in higher vocational education, and starting with the means of modern information technology, the construction of practical teaching mode in the information age is not only a beneficial exploration for the practical teaching reform of hotel management specialty in higher vocational education, but also a promotion letter.
