Abstract: Taking Xinjiang Institute of Technology in the northwest of China as an example, this paper, by referring to the relevant constructs and task design of "U-campus smart cloud Platform",breaks the current deadlock of teaching methods, and explores a new mode of application-oriented talents' College English teaching, which fits the "one belt and one way" strategy and fits the regional characteristics of Southern Xinjiang. The author believes that the rise of "U-campus smart cloud platform" adapts to the requirements of the development of education and teaching in the new era. The college English teaching mode of application-oriented universities should be a combination of online and offline mode, and meanwhile, project-based or case-based teaching should be adopted to focus on the cultivation of students' critical thinking ability and cross-cultural communication ability.
